Will Your Site Survive MobileGeddon?
This is two posts in a row that is slightly off topic, but since I know that many of my followers have blogs of their own, I wanted to write up a short post about Google’s new algorithm change. Even the WallStreet Journal is talking about it! See it here.
In short, about 45% of the Fortune 500 companies and 25% of the top retailers do not have a mobile ready site. What does this mean to them? It means that if a customer or client is searching for their service or products via a mobile phone, Google is no longer going to show their store or business in the search results.
This could mean a sharp decline in business!
Is your site mobile friendly? You can type your site’s URL into Google’s Mobile Friendly Test to see. If it is not, check out this step-by-step guide to make your site mobile friendly. I found it quite useful. No need to hire expensive coders. You can do this yourself!
